Map:

This out and back track is a beautiful escape into the rainforest. At only 470m to the lookout, it is a very small effort to reward bushwalk.

The leaf strewn path is very damp and can be slippery in places. Many tree roots and fist sized rocks cover the track, making some parts tricky to traverse. There is just enough elevation to get your heart pumping.

Cicadas will welcome you to the lookout, and the viewing platform constructed on the edge of the cliff provides opportunity for some lovely photographs.

Along the cliff face to the left, giant spear lillies grow, flowering in spring.

After driving all the way to get here, it would be ideal to combine Sylvesters Lookout track with other tracks in the Goomburra Section of Main Range National Park.
