One of my favourite parts about Southbank – and there is a lot to love about Southbank – is the Rainforest Walk. This beautiful oasis, tucked between the Wheel of Brisbane and the swimming lagoon, is a welcome reprieve in any busy day out. The well placed seating allows for time to pause and soak in the serenity.

Stop for a few minutes and soak in the serenity

This man made space may be small, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm. The boardwalk meanders strategically through the trees, taking you past beautifully created spaces. The water feature adds to the experience visually as well as auditorily. The gentle sounds of the trinkling stream invites calm.

The water feature creates some picturesque views

Next time you head to Southbank for a day out, don’t forget to stop by the Rainforest Walk and experience the pleasure of a well planned forest.
